Aces Killshot EFI in 88 mustang

I'm going to document my adventure with the Aces Killshot. I bought the system 1 year ago to go my 1988 mustang (AKA The Turd).

A little background on the car.

4 cylinder converted to V8. I re-ringed a 1995 351w roller block. The engine has Windsor SR heads, stock 5.0 HO cam, Weiand Stealth dual plane intake, BBK 351w shorties, duel exhaust with Flownaster Flow FX mufflers. The rear-end has has been swapped with an 8.8 with 3:73 gears.

After a few months of trying to get a Summit 750 mechanical secondary carb to work. I bought the Aces Killshot with Blackjack distributor and Aces high output coil.

To get fuel to the system I ran a -6 AN fuel supply line and a -6 AN return line. A 340 LPH fuel pump. In the tank I used a -6 AN fuel sending unit made by Quantum Fuel Systems.

The Killshot was easy to install and wire up. I put in the wizard all my engine information. The car started first time. It was running rich but after a little youtube watching I found that taking the fuel offset to 79% the car ran and drove real good. I used the Killshot to control the timing. Timing control was problematic, sometimes it would start with a skip and after restart all was good. I was told my battery was to weak during cranking causing the issue. Changing the battery was no help. I decided to change back to the distributor controlling timing with mechanical advance. This was the answer, the car starts faster and runs great now.

Only issue now is dialing in the acceleration enrichment.

The killshot has a lot of great features. I use it to control my cooling fans and fuel pump. The 5" screen has a built in GPS speedometer, AFR guage, and fuel pressure guage.
